Palm Pre Review – Palm Pre Deals available on O2 Now

Like me, many other mobile phone enthusiasts were waiting for the arrival of Palm Pre. The device is now available in the market. The handset is operated by a new operating system called webOS. According to many, webOS is the future of smart phones. As far as the looks are concerned, Palm Pre gets a thunderous appeal. Most importantly, the device is not bulky and can be easily adjusted in the pocket. The smooth and round shape of the phone makes it simply irresistible.Palm Pre

It seems that Palm this time have deliberately followed minimalist designs with few ports and keys on the exterior portion. There is a small door on the right side of the phone, which opens up to the micro USB card slot. There is a headset port and a key with mute functionality. On top of the phone, the power button is placed. With this minimalist appearance, the device looks clean and sleek. However, the QWERTY keypad is accessible after sliding the phone.

The QWERTY keypad is quite good and it gives a proper typing and emailing experience. What about the touch screen? The handset features TFT capacitive touch screen of 3.1 inches size. The screen is good enough to view text and movies properly. However, I personally feel that a bit of higher resolution could have made the display perfect. The resolution of 480×320 pixels at HVGA is the lowest on a smart phone.
The capacitive touch screen can wonderfully sense the finger touches, which is very much essential as there is not D pad in the handset.

Palm Pre appears to be quite attractive mobile phone and its features are also good. It can bring back the glory of Pam up to certain extent.
